According to reports Some lecturers of the University Of Benin returned to work last week following the Federal Government’s directive to resume work. One lecturer gathered available students and attempted to hold a class when the premises was stormed by a mob of ASUU officials.
The police were called to the scene to intervene in the brewing pandemonium, but the ASUU officials matched thier force and fully succeeded in putting all on going lectures on hold. Despite the FG directive and announcement by some schools to resume lectures. It would seem, the industrial strike action embarked on 6 months ago by the lecturers is still very much active.
