Access Bank Reportedly Paid N200m ($1.26m) To Bring Mariah Carey To Nigeria

For a bank that just laid off over 200 employees, Access bank didn't spare any dollar in splurging N200Million ($1.2m) to invite a singer that is past her prime for their end of the year's party.

The Bank came under media scrutiny after the logistics of the event went public. According to National Enquirer, Mariah Carey's invitation to perform at the bank's event was a wish granted to the bank’s outgoing MD, Aig Imokhuede, who had reportedly requested the beautiful singer sing for him in person, as a send-off gift

This is even ludicrous to think of talking about the amount and even more to a singer whose best days are far behind her.
