Unarguably, Pharrell Williams was one of the most successful artists in the outgoing year. He was on two of the year's biggest tracks: Get Lucky with Daft Punk, and Blurred Lines With Robin Thicke. He also dropped a hit single which is on Number 4 on the US Singles Chart and has the first 24-hour music video to his credit. (Watch That Here)
He is about to end the year on a much happier note as he just signed on to Columbia Records and also announced that he will be dropping a solo album in 2014 eight years after his 2006's In My Mind album. Pharrell's new album will include the hit-song Happy.
He will have as record label mates the French duo Daft Punk which he partnered with on Get Lucky.
