In the advent of the twitter wars that launched itself into our timelines a few days ago especially between Don Jazzy and former label artiste, Wande Coal. The singer was recently on an exclusive interview with VOX Africa in London where he disclosed some details of the rift especially concerning the controversial track "Baby Face".
Speaking during the interview, Wande Coal revealed that contary to public opinions he never actually signed a contract with Mavin Records.
Wande Coal said ‘I was just there (Mavin Records), it was void because I didn’t have any contract [with the label.’ The Kick crooner also stated, ‘there is no beef, there is nothing.’
Wande also debunked rumours of him having signed a record deal with D'banj's DRB records
“Everybody knows that I’m Black diamond and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do, so I decided to create my own label. The song was supposed to be on my album but since we fell out it was just void so it’s not like it went against any contractual agreement. But there’s no animosity. I’ve still got love for Don Jazzy.”
