Wizkid Flops At GT Bank Party, Fights Wande Coal Backstage

Wizzy & Wande Coal before the altercation

Wizkid has been on the roll lately for both good and bad. This report according to 360nobs speculate that, Star Boy failed to deliver at a Guaranty Trust Bank end of the year party.  The event held on Saturday (14th  December) night and it lived up to expectations with awesome performances from Wande Coal, Flavour, and Olamide until Wizkid came on stage.

A lot of angry fans took to twitter to express their anger and displeasure at the performance of the "Caro" crooner. The organisers had reportedly saved the best for last and allowed Wizzy perform last. But alas he came on stage "high" and was clearly not in shape to perform. Wiz was doing alot more talking than singing and the fans couldn't fathom what was going on.

Wizkid reportedly worsened matters for himself and got into a brawl backstage with Black Diamond boss, Wande Coal. The cause of the fight is still unclear, but clearly Wiz' stoned state of mind didn't help at all. What is going on with Wizkid? Is Wiz getting drunk off the fame already?

I Would Love To Date Tonto Dikeh & I’m Still Very Much Cool With Don Jazzy - Wande Coal Reveals [VIDEO]

wande coal

Wande Coal a.k.a W.C who is now a boss of his own after breaking out of Mavin Records had a brief interview with Factory78 crew after his performance last week Friday in London at the GTBank CTcrea8 concert which took place at indigo2. Remember even though Wande Coal said he had no contract with Don Jazzy in his first interview with Vox Africa UK, he still maintained they are cool together and he’s repeating same here too. I guess he is just trying to be very matured about it all plus he would also love to date Tonto Dikeh, Yvonne Nelson and Toolz if not that she is taken…

"No Beef With Don Jazzy" Wande Coal Opens Up On Twitter Brouhaha With Don Jazzy

In the advent of the twitter wars that launched itself into our timelines a few days ago especially between Don Jazzy and former label artiste, Wande Coal. The singer was recently on an exclusive interview with VOX Africa in London where he disclosed some details of the rift especially concerning the controversial track "Baby Face".
Speaking during the interview, Wande Coal revealed that contary to public opinions he never actually signed a contract with Mavin Records.
Wande Coal said ‘I was just there (Mavin Records), it was void because I didn’t have any contract [with the label.’ The Kick crooner also stated, ‘there is no beef, there is nothing.’

“Everybody knows that I’m Black diamond and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do, so I decided to create my own label. The song was supposed to be on my album but since we fell out it was just void so it’s not like it went against any contractual agreement. But there’s no animosity. I’ve still got love for Don Jazzy.”
Wande also debunked rumours of him having signed a record deal with D'banj's DRB records

It Official, Mavin Records Releases Press Statement On Wande Coal'sDeparture

Its Official people, Wande Coal has officially left Mavin Records and Mavin Records has released a press statement in that light to explain to the press the details of Wande's exit. See the press statement below:
It is with deep regret that we officially announce the departure of recording artist Wande Ojosipe, popularly known as Wande Coal, from Mavin Records due to irreconcilable differences.
Over the past few months, Mavin Records has made a concerted move to consolidate its position in the Nigerian music industry. Mavin has pursued a renewed ethos to raise its standards of quality and professionalism to a world-class level. Wande’s vision has not aligned with ours and a few months ago all parties mutually agreed that a separation would be the best course of action.
Legal parties on both sides have spent the past six months trying to reach an amicable solution in terms of musical property rights. However the decision by Wande Coal to release ‘Baby Face’ purportedly as his own material is a direct breach of intellectual property law and compelled an immediate clarification on our part.
Both Mavin Records and Wande Coal have enjoyed a remarkable run in the course of their working relationship. It is unfortunate that conflicting priorities contributed to the premature curtailment of a hitherto fruitful accord.
Mavin Records reaffirms its goal to constantly provide high quality music to our fans and introduce new and exciting talent into the industry.
We wish Wande Coal the best of luck in all his future endeavours.

Wande Coal's Baby Face Producer Shizzi Speaks Out On Controversial Song

Top music producerSheyi 'Shizzi' Akerele, who produced Wande Coal's version of the controversial
song 'Baby Face', which Don Jazzy says was stolen from him, has released a statement explaining his involvement in the whole issue. He mentions that he produced Wande's hit song 'Go Low' which he never got credit for. See his statement below...

I have heard and seen some folks rants about me stealing production credit for Wande Coal's new single "Baby Face" and I would like to clarify this issue. I was only doing my job by making the beat for Wande and that's what I did. I don't see any reason why people should jump into quick conclusions without taking their time to really dig into the matter for facts.
Two years back, I remember I created a demo for Wande Coal's "Shawty Go Low" and someone else took the credits. I was in shock because I had plans to finish the song with Wande and was hoping it would be released as a single which I produced. Here is the link to the original version of "Go Low"

New Music: Baby Face By Wande Coal

wande coal baby face

Well, well, well, i tried not to do it , but i had to, dump the current controversy with Don Jazzy, this song is piping hot. Wande Coal totally kicked ass on this dope jam. Apologies Don Jazzy, i'm a big fan but even if  Wande stole this song, Is there any other Nigerian artiste that could have rendered it better without ruining the record? y'all should listen for yourselves, Wande is Insane!!

Twitter Wars: Don Jazzy and Wande Coal In Violent Twitter Diss

Well if you don't know, now you know, Wande Coal left Mavin records a while ago. And though the details are sketchy, The singer recently released a single, "Baby Face". Don Jazzy came on twitter a while ago and has since been ranting about how Wande Coal stole his song. He even posted a link online to the demo version of the unfinished track, he had originally produced, now he is accusing Wande Coal of intellectual property theft.
It's sad to see these two go at things like this in such a public manner for that matter. Check out the exchange of words that ensued between the two over twitter below.
