Funny But True: Batman Arrested And Jailed For Theft and Drug Abuse In Singapore
Remember a few weeks ago a post was made here a Singaporean man had unusual superhero-like name. The young man was christened "Batman Bin Suparman" which loosely translates as Batman son of Superman and he uploaded several pictures of his ID cards and birth certificates to prove this. In an hilarious turn of events anyways, Batman turned out to be a villain who consumed drugs and stole from his brother.
Batman has since been jailed on Monday for two years and nine months for various offences including stealing his brother's automated teller machine card to make withdrawals, media reported.
The 23-year-old unemployed man had also broken into the office of a firm in western Singapore to steal money and taken heroin.
Batman, who has his own fan club on Facebook, became a social media sensation after an image of his identity card with his unusual name was circulated online.

Her question caught me off guard, i gave a fake laugh and replied "Afraid? No, should I be? you're being weird." I said frankly "I did just meet you 3 hours ago and i let you drive me to lunch. Naturally i should be afraid. But I'm not. If I was I wouldn't be here or is there something I should be worried about?" I added grinning. "I like you, how do you feel about that?" she asked licking chicken crumbs off her blood-red lips and staring into my eyes. This question caught me off guard again. Women can like fellow women right? I felt like I had the answer but my lips refused to mouth any response. After a few seconds of silence but just staring into blankness and muttering inaudible words, she chuckled and pulled at my left cheek "C'mon pumpkin face, lets go before I have to kiss you" she stood up walking toward the exit as I trotted behind her praying to God I didn't just hear this woman threaten to kiss me. As I stood up I could hear my head ringing "Bimbo this is a bad idea" I chuckled out loud, "I think I like this bad idea"

N100m Suit: Etisalat Replies Comedian Julius Agwu
Telecommunication giant, Etisalat Nigeria, has reacted to Julius Agwu’s 7day ultimatum to the company that it should compensate him with the sum of N100 million or risk legal action over “alleged unlawful and unjustified blocking and/or swapping” of his Etisalat GSM phone number 08189555555.
Julius Agwu had, through his lawyer, Festus Keyamo, demanded N100m after his business line was blocked by Etisalat.
Julius said in a bid to solve his problem, he had visited Etisalat's Abuja office at Hilton to report the matter.
He was attended to by one Miss Joan, who informed him that somebody had swapped his line.
Julius successfully answered the security questions put to him, his line was restored with no airtime balance.
But he was shocked when the line was blocked later on again. And even after his several meetings with Etisalat, they still failed to unblock his line the second time, causing him to lose some business opportunities.
Etisalat’s Public Relations Manager, Chineze Amanfo, while reacting to the allegation through an email sent to PMNews, stated that contrary to the reportage of the issue on the blogs and news sites, a SIM swap was performed on the said line after the requester provided the company’s customer care executives with necessary SIM replacement information, in accordance with laid down NCC regulations and process for SIM swap.
She added that the SIM replacement information includes security and personal requirements to the owner, which the requester provided before the swap was effected.
Subsequently, upon a report made at our office by Mr. Agwu that he is the owner of the line and did not authorize anyone to swap it, our customer care executives promptly restored the line as well as the airtime lost during the swap process.
Etisalat Nigeria is currently carrying out an internal investigation into the SIM swap incident and will refer the matter to the appropriate agencies for further investigation as may be necessary.
We wish to assure the general public that Etisalat Nigeria is committed to the protection of the rights of its subscribers and to continue to provide value adding services to its customers.
We will spare no effort to unravel the circumstances surrounding the alleged unauthorized SIM swap while encouraging our customers and the general public to protect their personal information at all times,” she stated

"We were collecting toys for the Indiana tornado victims and the Philippine [typhoon] victims," says Jim Torp, who attended the event held by Always Evolving, a Valencia, Calif.-based automotive company. "There were dozens of high-end race cars and custom-built cars on display."
As the car show was winding down, Walker, whose 15-year-old daughterMeadow Rain also was at the event, got into a red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT with the car's driver, Always Evolving owner Roger Rodas.
"Roger was definitely behind the wheel," says Torp, a Santa Clarita, Calif., electrician who was an acquaintance of Rodas. "Roger slowly drove it out – he didn't take off recklessly. There were children around, after all. They were only gone for five or ten minutes and never came back."
"It looks like speed could've been a factor, but we haven't made an official determination for the cause of the accident, which will take some time," Lt. John Rush of the Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station said.
"It was clear the car had hit two trees then finally hit a street lamppost," he says. "Parts of the car were strewn everywhere on the street, as far as 150 feet. I didn't see any skid marks. Where the car had crashed was on a long straightaway. How fast they were going, I don't know."

How the ASUU Strike Can End In 48 Hours If Jonathan Is Honest –– Femi Falana
At a meeting of the Bayelsa state caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party, which held in Yenegoa last Friday, President Goodluck Jonathan accused the Academic Union of Universities (ASUU) of subversion. As far as the President is concerned the ongoing industrial action has nothing to do with trade dispute.
During his last media chat the President had accused the ASUU of playing politics with the strike. No doubt, the federal Government is utterly embarrassed that the strike has lasted for about six months. But instead of accusing ASUU of subversion, the Federal Government should be blamed for its inexplicable refusal to honour the 2009 FG/ASUU Agreement.
It is on record that officials of Ministries of Education and Finance frustrated the resolution of the strike.

It was on account of such frustration that led the President to take over the negotiations. At the end of the marathon meeting held between the President and the ASUU leaders substantial progress was made towards the resolution of the crisis. On its part the ASUU accepted the offer made by the President with some minor adjustments.
Regrettably, the President was informed that ASUU had rejected his offer. In view of such misinformation the Acting Minister of Education, Mr. Nyeson Wike issued a 7-day ultimatum to sack all striking university staff with effect from December 4, 2013. He also directed the vice-chancellors of all public universities to declare the posts of striking academics vacant with a view to replacing them.
If Mr. Wike had familiarized himself with FG/ASUU face-off in the past two decades, even under the defunct military junta, he would have discovered that ASUU members have never been cowed to submission. In 1992, the Ibrahim Babangida junta fired all lecturers and threatened to eject them from their official quarters. When the lecturers defied the junta a decree was promulgated which made strike by teachers a treasonable felony. ASUU also ignored the obnoxious decree and called off the bluff of the military dictators.
The then Secretary for Education, Professor Ben Nwabueze SAN described the 1992 FG/ASUU as "a contract of imperfect obligations". But at the end of the day it became clear to the regime that universities could not be run like military barracks. Hence the junta swallowed its pride, withdrew its empty threats and decided to honour the Agreement which it had rejected.

Pastor Chris Okotie's Bombshell: Why Catholics Will Go to Hell

"All Catholics in the world will go to hell because they worship Satan and are led by an Anti-Christ Pope who is a friend to the devil", Nigeria’s controversial preacher and former presidential candidate, Chris Okotie, told his congregation on Sunday, leaving members bewildered.
“They don’t believe in heaven. They believe in purgatory, the purgatory that they invented,”Fifty-five year old Okotie, while preaching in his Household of God Church in Ikeja area of Lagos on Sunday, said the Catholic church is “a counterfeit church set up by Satan” and that Catholics “bow to idols and crucify Jesus every Sunday when they eat bread claiming they are eating Jesus’ body.”
Pastor Okotie stressed: “They are not Christians and have never been.”
“They don’t know Jesus. They believe that when they eat bread on Sundays, they are eating the body of Jesus. It’s ritual,” he told his stunned congregation.
According to Simon Ateba, Okotie said Pope Francis is an Anti-Christ who does the job of the devil and that time is fast approaching when the Catholic church will pledge allegiance to Satan.
“The pope is an Anti-Christ and the Catholic church will soon declare for Satan. This is the end of times,” Okotie erupted.
He advised members of his church to come to the rescue of Catholics and evangelise them. This, he said, was not out of disrespect but out of respect for the word of God.
He said those who know the truth should bring it to those who do not know it in the Catholic Church.
Okotie said one of the Catholic most revered Popes, Pope John Paul 11, surrendered the Catholic Church to Mary, the earthly mother of Jesus Christ, instead of Jesus himself. He said even the current Pope Francis has also done same.
He said Catholics are not Christians and do not worship the same Christ that he preaches in his church, at least the one spoken about in the Bible.
Okotie said he did not write the Bible but it was clear to him that those in the Catholic church were lost and were heading to hell fire.
“That church, the Catholic church has been there for Satan and at the right time, they will declare for Satan,” Okotie said.
Okotie who has been married twice and divorced also twice said a beauty pageant will take place in his church next Sunday to select the most beautiful woman in his church.
He also said that Nigeria’s famous preacher Prophet T.B. Joshua is the son of the devil and his followers will go straight to hell.
But funny enough, in recent years, the same Pastor Okotie has been saying that God has anointed him to be the President of Nigeria. That prophecy has not come to pass in 2 presidential elections that he participated in.

A 36 year old french mother named Fabienne Kabou, who felt her baby was 'incompatible' with her and boyfriend, strapped the little angel in a pram and calmly pushed her into a river. (pictured above right). Unbelievble!

A mother faces life imprisonment after confessing she drowned her 15-month-old daughter in the English Channel because the child was 'incompatible' with her love life.
CCTV footage has emerged of Fabienne Kabou, 36, from Senegal, pushing little Adelaide to the coast of Berck sur Mer on November 19. The next day, Adelaide was found dead, strapped in a pushchair submerged in the water, by a fisherman.
After ten days of searching nationwide, police used DNA from the pram to trace Ms Kabou to the home she shares with a 63-year-old man in Paris, where she was arrested.
The case has sparked outrage as hundreds took to the streets outside the court and on the coast in a White March - a French style of demonstrating against child cruelty.
Ms Kabou had told her boyfriend, a sculptor, that she had handed over the little girl to her grandmother who had agreed to look after her in Senegal, police claim.
On Saturday, Kabou was taken under Police guard to Boulogne sur Mer and questioned for four hours by an examining judge in a closed court session.
The judge placed her under investigation for murder. She was remanded in custody pending her trial.
Her lawyer Fabienne Roy-Nansion who was present during the interrogation said that her client had made a full confession.
Hundreds have taken to the streets in the past couple of days paying homage to the little girl in a White March.
The first White March took place on 1996 in Belgium as people demonstrated against Marc Dutroux, a serial killer and child molester.
Gerard Lopez, the president of the Institute of Victimology and legal expert at the Paris Court of Appeal, told 20minutes.fr: 'First and foremost, she wanted to save her marriage by killing her child.
'This would probably not have changed anything. 'She is not crazy. Her actions were premeditated.

Mozambique Airlines Plane Crashes in Namibia, killing 33 people
A Mozambique Airlines plane carrying 27 passengers and 6 crew members crashed in Namibia today Saturday November 30th, killing all on board, local media reports.
The Brazilian-made Embraer 190 aircraft left Maputo and was heading to Luanda when it crashed in a remote border area near a Namibian national park, Mozambique authorities said. The plane was carrying 10 Mozambicans, 9 Angolans, 5 Portuguese, and one citizen each from France, Brazil and China, plus six crew members, including two pilots, three flight attendants and a maintenance technician, the airline said today.

Fast And Furious Star, Paul Walker Dies In Car Crash
According to reports from TMZ, Fast and Furious star, Paul Walker is dead. The actor was most famous for his role as Brian O' Conner is the car racing movie franchise. Ironically Walker was reported to have died from a single car crash on Saturday (30th of November). He was aged 40 years old.
