'F**K France' - Samir Nasri's Girlfriend In Twitter Attack On Deschamps After His World Cup Omission

Lol, The girlfriend of Manchester City’s Samir Nasri launched an angry Twitter rant after learning her boyfriend was being left out of France’s World Cup squad.
Nasri, who won the Premier League title with City on Sunday, was omitted by the French manager Didier Deschamps when he announced the 23-man squad yesterday.

And after finding out he wouldn’t be on the plane to Brazil for this summer’s tournament Anara Atanes, who has been dating Nasri since last year, tweeted: ‘F*** France and f*** Deschamps! What a s*** manager.’
Honestly though, Nasri should be on that plane to Brazil, shame a brilliant player like him won't make it.

Nigerian Supporters Club Wants 62 Million Condoms For 2014 World Cup

When I read this a few hours ago, the first question that popped into my mind was, are they going to sleep with half of the country? 62 million what? Lol. Ok let me break it down for you. UNAIDS is willing to give Nigerian supporters club 2 million condoms for their stay in Brazil during the world cup, but Rafiu Ladipo the President-General of NFSSC said 2 million condoms will only be good for a day and not the purported 31days they are booked to stay, because Nigerian supporters are quite much.

He appealed to UNAIDS to take their pleas seriously because some fans might want to have sex after daily activities. So when you multiply 2 by 31 you get 62 million condoms. Good luck guys!

SPORT: Vincent Enyeama Wins Marc Vivien Foe Award

The Lille goalkeeper has joined the impressive line up of winners of the Radio France International-France 24 best African prize named in honour of the late Cameroonian midfielder
Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has won the RFI - FRANCE 24 Marc-Vivien Foé Award for the best African player in the French Ligue 1 football championship for the 2013-14 season, it has been announced.

The Lille goalkeeper won out over Ivory Coast defender Serge Aurier (Toulouse FC) and Cameroon international player Henri Bedimo (Olympique Lyonnais).

Enyeama, 31, was picked by a jury composed of French football journalists after each member selected three names from a list of 10 players previously drawn up by the RFI and France 24 sports departments.

After putting in some remarkable performances right throughout the season, Enyeama impressed football enthusiasts by keeping a clean sheet for 11 consecutive matches (1062 minutes).

With 82 caps to his credit in the national team, he helped the Super Eagles  to win the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013 and will be playing with them in the World Cup in Brazil.

The Trophy for the Best African Ligue 1 player was renamed the Marc-Vivien Foé Award in 2011 in tribute to the Cameroonian player who died unexpectedly during a match in Lyon's Gerland stadium on June 26, 2003.

The Nigerian had lost the Professional Footballers Union (UNFP) best goalkeeper award on Sunday evening to Paris Saint Germain's Salvatore Sirigu.

Previous winners of the RFI-France 24 Marc Vivien Foe trophy are Marouane Chamakh 2009 (Morocco), Gervinho 2010 & 2011 (Ivory Coast), Younès Belhanda 2012 (Morocco) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon) in 2013.

Wilshere & Oxlade-Chamberlain In As Hodgson Names Youthful England 2014 World Cup Squad

England manager Roy Hodgson has taken a gamble on the fitness of Arsenal duo Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and named the pair in his 23-man World Cup squad.

Wilshere made his comeback from his latest setback at Norwich on Sunday having been out since early March after he injured his ankle on international duty in a collision with Liverpool's Daniel Agger.

Oxlade-Chamberlain missed the first half of the campaign with a knee ligament injury and remains a doubt for Arsenal's FA Cup final against Hull on Saturday with a groin problem, although his manager Arsene Wenger insists Hodgson should have few worries over the fitness of either of his young midfielders.

"The World Cup is in one month, so there is plenty of time," Wenger said after the win over Norwich.

"Wilshere can play now, so it shows you that there is no problem for him to be available for England. The news (on Oxlade-Chamberlain) is good. He should re-integrate into the squad on Wednesday in normal training."

Meanwhile, youngsters Luke Shaw, Ross Barkley and Raheem Sterling have been rewarded for their fine club form with a place in Hodgson's squad.

News broke late on Sunday evening that Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole would not be named in the travelling party and would retire from international football, meaning the official announcement in Luton on Monday afternoon delivered few surprises.

Southampton left-back Shaw, 18, has enjoyed an impressive season in the Premier League and will vie with Leighton Baines for the left-back berth in Cole's absence.

Barkley, 20, and Sterling, 19, have also stood out for Everton and Liverpool, respectively, and represent a new era for the Three Lions.

Shaw's Saints team-mates Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert have also been called up, while Manchester United defender Phil Jones is also in despite picking up a shoulder injury against Hull City.

Jones' club-mates Chris Smalling, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck are also included, alongside Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge, who scored 21 Premier League last season, and fellow Reds Glen Johnson, Jordan Henderson and Steven Gerrard.

Frank Lampard has been named in his third consecutive World Cup squad following appearances in 2006 and 2010, though this season has been the first since 2002-03 that he has not reached double figures in terms of goals.

Former Barcelona Coach, Tito Vilanova Is Dead

Tito Vilanova Is Dead

The former coach of FC Barcelona, Tito Vilanova, has died at the age of 45 after a battle with cancer, the club has announced.

The Spaniard was appointed as manager in April 2012 but was re-diagnosed with cancer of the salivary gland 10 months later.

The ex-midfielder, who was first told he had the disease in November 2011, was forced to step down from the club in July last year.

In a statement, FC Barcelona said it was in "immense mourning", adding: "May he rest in peace."

News of Vilanova's death has stunned the footballing community.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho said: "Tito Vilanova's passing is a sad day for football, for Barcelona and most importantly for his family and friends."

Manchester City and Argentina star Sergio Aguero said his "heart is heavy", while Atletico Madrid and Spain player David Villa tweeted: "We will never forget."

West Ham goalkeeper Adrian San Miguel added: "Another fighter who lost against cancer. Hopefully one day (we will) make the progress that can (beat) it. RIP Tito Vilanova."

Vilanova was assistant manager at the Nou Camp from 2008-2012 under Pep Guardiola and succeeded the Spaniard following his departure from the club.

He previously managed Barcelona's second team and lower league side FC Palafrugell.

As a player, Vilanova made more than 300 professional appearances, including more than 60 for Valencian side Elche.

Manchester United Sack David Moyes, SEE Their New Coach

The Scot oversaw the club's worst campaign in the Premier League era and missed out on Champions League qualification, and leaves Old Trafford just a season into his six-year deal
Manchester United have sacked manager David Moyes with immediate effect after owners the Glazer family finally lost patience with the Scot.

The 50-year-old, who created a host of unwanted records during his brief stint at Old Trafford, becomes the first United manager to be dismissed since Ron Atkinson in 1986.

Announcing Moyes' departure on their official Twitter account, United added: "The club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role."

Moyes had endured a torrid campaign in charge of the reigning Premier League champions, with Sunday's abject 2-0 loss to former club Everton guaranteeing that the Red Devils will miss out on a place in the Champions League next season.

Defeat at Goodison Park was their 11th of the season - just one fewer than relegation battling West Brom - and left the club languishing in seventh place in the table.

Sunday's result marked the first time both the Toffees and Liverpool have completed a league double over United, while local rivals Manchester City managed that feat for the first time since the Premier League's inception.

Moyes had been handpicked by Sir Alex Ferguson to take over upon his retirement, urging those in attendance of his final match at Old Trafford to "stand by our new manager".

But with United having struggled so much under Moyes, the club's hierarchy were increasingly worried that he was no longer the right man to entrust this summer's £200 million warchest to.

Veteran midfielder Ryan Giggs could take over first-team duties for the remainder of the season, while there is even speculation that Sir Alex could return to the dugout he vacated just a year ago.

BREAKING: Chelsea Agrees To Pay Release Clause For Atleti’s Diego Costa

While Liverpool and Manchester City try to make sure Chelsea’s 2014 is Premier League-title free, the Blues are doing some work to ensure future titles go their way.
Atletico Madrid super striker Diego Costa has a release clause that’s reportedly more than $83 million, and Jose Mourinho’s club is ready to splash the cash to move him to Stamford Bridge (Spanish report / English).
Adding to the intrigue is the destiny of both club’s UEFA Champions League campaigns run through each other in this month’s semifinals. Costa has 25 goals in 29 La Liga matches, and has added 7 in six UEFA Champions League matches. All-in-all, he’s netted 33 times in 43 appearances for club and country this season.

Champions League : Koke scores as Atletico Madrid stun Barcelona

Atletico Madrid progressed to the semi-final of a European Cup for the first time since 1974 courtesy of a first-half goal from Koke in a tense and fascinating 1-0 victory on the night resulting in a 2-1 aggregate scoreline over Spanish rivals Barcelona.

Champions League : Bayern Munich Come From Behind to Oust Manchester United

Manchester United went ahead but could not resist Bayern Munich, who moved into the semi-finals of the Champions League with a 3-1 win on the night and a 4-2 aggregate victory.

United took a surprise lead through a fantastic shot from Patrice Evra, but the French left-back was culpable as Bayern stormed back through goals from Mario Mandzukic, Thomas Mueller and Arjen Robben.

Mandzukic headed home seconds after the restart following Evra's fine strike, with Mueller finishing well from a Robben cross to put the Germans ahead.

Wayne Rooney - playing through a toe injury - spurned a good chance to equalise, but then Robben's solo run resulted in a low shot that Nemanja Vidic deflected past David De Gea, ending David Moyes' hopes of an upset.

Manchester United’s Captain Set To Leave ManU For Rival Club

Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has announced that he will leave the club at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old defender’s contract expires in the summer and he has been linked with a move to Italy, with Inter Milan tipped to secure his signature.

The timing of the Serbian’s announcement may spark further anxiety among Manchester United fans, many of whom have been unhappy with the club’s progress since David Moyes took over as manager from Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Premier League champions are currently seventh in the table, trailing leaders Arsenal by 15 points.
Moyes had indicated that he would like Vidic – club captain since 2010 – to stay, but it is thought that he had not been offered a contract extension.

In a statement released by the Old Trafford club, Vidic said: ”I have decided that I will move on at the end of this season.

“I want to challenge myself again and try to make the best of myself in the coming years.
“I’m not considering staying in England as the only club I ever wanted to play for here is Manchester United and I was lucky enough to be part of this club for so many years.

“I’ve got a few options to move on and I will choose the right one for me and for my family.”
Vidic signed for the Red Devils in 2005 and was paired with Rio Ferdinand in the last great central defensive partnership of Sir Alex’s reign, winning 15 trophies including a Champions League winners medal in 2008.

Last May he skippered the side to their historic 20th top flight league success – their last under Sir Alex.
But he was limited to 19 league appearances in that campaign as he battled a serious knee injury which had troubled him since 2011.

Madrid Held As Ronaldo Sees Red, Atletico Go Top Of La Liga

Madrid (AFP) - Cristiano Ronaldo was sent-off as Real Madrid lost ground in the La Liga title race with a 1-1 draw away to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
Atletico Madrid became outright leaders for the first time since their double winning season in 1996 earlier in the day with a 4-0 win over Real Sociedad on Sunday.
The draw moves Real level with Barcelona, who suffered a shock defeat at home to Valencia on Saturday, three points behind Atletico.
It could have been so much better for Madrid as after a difficult opening 45 minutes, Jese Rodriguez looked to have them on the road to a 11th consecutive victory when he prodded home Ronaldo's cross 25 minutes from time.
However, after Ibai Gomez had spectacularly equalised, Ronaldo was shown a soft red card for lashing out at Carlos Gurpegi.
"I think it is difficult for me to judge because I wasn't there but the images show that it was an exaggerated reaction," Real boss Carlo Ancelotti said about Ronaldo's red card.
"It could have been different because we scored first and then controlled the game well.
"Bilbao scored a fantastic goal, but, in general, I personally am satisfied with how Real Madrid played."
Ancelotti's men could have been in front after just 20 seconds as Ronaldo took advantage of a poor clearance by Gorka Iraizoz, but his effort flew inches wide.
Thereafter, it was Athletic who had the upper hand in the first-half and should have been in front when Aduriz shot wide when clean through on Diego Lopez.
Iker Muniain also passed up a great chance to open the scoring when he miscontrolled when unmarked inside the area.
However, Madrid responded after the break and Iraizoz was forced into two flying saves to deny Luka Modric and Karim Benzema.
The visitors did finally find a way through 25 minutes from time as Benzema fed Ronaldo on the left and his low cross was turned home on the stretch by Jese.
Real's lead lasted just nine minutes as Gomez made a stunning introduction as a substitute as with his second touch he fired an effort from 20 yards in off the inside of the post.
Madrid were then left to hold on for a point when Ronaldo saw red after a coming together with Gurpegi after having a penalty appeal turned down.
Gomez was denied a second by a brilliant save from Lopez, whilst the Madrid keeper also had to be alive to hold Aduriz's header as the spoils were shared.
Earlier, Atletico moved top on an emotional evening at the Vicente Calderon, as former players and fans paid their tributes to former Spain and Atletico player and coach Luis Aragones, who died on Saturday, before the match.
The Atletico fans remained silent for the first eight minutes before beginning to chant Aragones' name in a tribute to the number he wore as a player with Los Rojiblancos.
And Atletico boss Diego Simeone was pleased with how his side dealt with the emotion of the evening.
"When someone like Luis leaves us there is pain and sadness, but today the fans, the game and that silence for the first eight minutes before they sang his name moved me. From above he would be wearing red and white and happy with the bravery we showed.
"Real Sociedad made it difficult without creating great chances. Defending didn't worry me, but the problem was when you don't attack and it was difficult for us to get out in the second-half.
"The changes gave us some freshness. We had the ball more and we managed to get going again. It is a win against a very difficult opponent."
After a quiet start, David Villa, the competition's top scorer when Aragones led Spain to the European Championships in 2008, fittingly opened the scoring as he swept home Diego Costa's low cross.
Villa's joy didn't last long, though, as he had to be substituted just two minutes later after pulling up with a muscular injury.
Sociedad enjoyed the majority of possession after the break as Atletico decided to sit on their lead, but the Basque side failed to seriously test Courtois.
Costa made sure of the three points 18 minutes from time when he coolly slotted Raul Garcia's through ball into the far corner.
Atletico struck again just two minutes later as Miranda rose highest to power home Koke's corner.
And Diego Ribas rounded off the scoring on his return to the club after completing a deadline day loan move from Wolfsburg when blasted high into the roof of the net three minutes from time.
