Agbani Darego, Omotola, Genevieve, Toke Makinwa, All Make The List Of Jaguda.com's 15 Hottest Women In The Entertainment Industry

They choose 15 ladies who they think are the hottest in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry.  They are now asking Nigerians to vote for the 10 hottest out of the 15 ladies. Do you think they left any name out? Do you agree with their list? Find the list below.

Nominate 9ja Ninja For Nigeria Blog Awards 2013

Agbani-Darego

12 years have past since this beauty became the first black Miss World (2001), and she is still able to hold her own when it comes to complete true beauty. In addition to her ever present grace, and beauty she’s upgraded even more and transformed into an even more elegant and classier version of herself. Not saying she wasn’t before, but while others might take a step down, she’s taken a step up. Simply put, she’s like fine wine… You know the rest.

Genevieve-Nnaji

It’s almost as if Genevieve has completely refused to age. And you can argue that she gets hotter with age, but either way you look at it, you can put her on a line up with girls 10 years younger than her, and she’ll still be in the cream of the crop. No agism here people. Admit it, you either envy Genevieve’s looks or you want your wife to age like her. Just accept.

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde
They don’t call her Omosexy for nothing. Over the past year, Omotola has been buzzing all over the place. Red carpet both home and abroad, movies, International TV appearances and much more. One thing you gotta love Omotalo for is her figure, and more importantly her ability to maintain that figure as the years have gone by, and with 4 kids. Anyone will tell you it’s not beans.

Along with her A+ acting, her cute face, Omotola’s other selling point gotta be those curves. Na die finally!

Toolz
You can call her the second coming of Omotola, with the pretty face and curvy figure. Not too much has changed from last year to this year, and Toolz still has a shape that will make a grown man cry real tears of joy.

The brains is still there, and the packaging just keeps on upgrading as she’s hosting ndaniTV’s The Juice along with being one of the most listened to On Air Personalities at 99.9 The Beat FM. Come rain or sunshine she’s still one of the hottest in Nigeria.

Oluchi
International super model has been the pride of the Nigerian model industry for over a decade and in bringing the Next Top Model series to Africa she’s back in the buzz. From magazine covers to runways, Oluchi is still the epitome of the word sexy, and when you think that she’s had kids also, it’s even more impressive that this sexiness has just refused to leave her bones. It’s just in her.

Muna
No offense to all the recent MBGN winners, but Muna puts them to shame, especially when you consider how long ago she won it (2007). But it’s not just about the looks with her. Her style, presentation and confidence is unrivaled really.

Some things are just constant in life. The sky is blue, the world will end, and Muna will stay hot until she doesn’t want again, and maybe after that sef. It’s just something you can’t argue with.

Rita Dominic
Rita Dominic has had somewhat of a revival over the past year. She’s been more on the scene, her style has hit top notch, and she oozes some sort of cougar like appeal to her, and I say cougar only because we know she’s older (38 I think). But based on just looks, you might not be able to tell. Her skin is damn near flawless and those eyes can make someone dash their inheritance.

The main thing that put Rita on this list though is that this woman’s wardrobe is on fire. Anyone who follows her on social media will tell you that Rita dey dress die. From the hair do, to the clothes, and shoes, everything is always on point and perfect for the occasion.

Tiwa Savage
Miss Savage if you nasty. Oh wait… Mrs Savage-Billz. Sorry Oga. Tiwa Savage and sexy go hand in hand, like Rice & Stew, Aki & Paw-Paw, Beans & Dodo. Ok you get the point. Tiwa Savage combines beauty and talent so well it’s almost sickening.

In a very weird way also, Tiwa Savage is one of the few ladies that can switch up the look and persona on any given occasion and still look dazzling. Good girl innocent look? Check. Bad girl I’ll tear your shirt look? Check. Let’s go for my aunty’s 50th birthday look? Check. She makes it too easy.

Nse Ikpe-Etim

Everything about this nollywood diva oozes sex appeal. From her figure, to skin tone, to her lips, everything about her is completely sexy.

You can’t deny her talents at all, and her fashion sense trumps a lot of other women in the industry, so her whole package really just makes her extremely attractive and a lot of people can’t pick just one reason why she’s that attractive. She’s just sexy. In every sense of the word.

Eku Edewor

The Studio 53 TV presenter is an instant eye grabber. Her flawless and silky skin, innocent look, and classy style makes everyone want to watch her on TV. What’s even more attractive is her sense of humor. It’s not every time you see someone as beautiful as she is have a great sense of humor. The default is to expect someone that will have their nose up in the air, but from what we’ve observed that’s not Eku at all.

Chidinma
Ms Kedike lori speaker! Chidinma has continued to ooze out high doses of sexy and swag (sorry I had to use it) over the past year, and she’s a long way removed from the “innocent” looking girl that won Project Fame West Africa a few years ago.

The talent is clearly there, her vast wardrobe keeps her looking hot whether she’s rocking urban gear, going with the traditional look, or going for class. Whichever way you want am, Chidinma fit do am, and she’ll do it better that most.

And that short hair cut? Boy oh Boy! She’s stay killing it with that look. Probably the most unique of beauties you’d find in Nigerian entertainment. You really cant say anyone is like her.

Lola Rae
You when you were a kid, and you would have posters of those women that you just thought were the best creations ever. Lola Rae reminds us of one of those. She has that ‘almost out of this world’ beauty. The Half-Nigerian, Half British singer made an appearance in Ice Prince video, More, and had a lot of people picking their mouths off the floor.

She does great herself in the music scene with her singles Watch My Ting Go, and Fimile (featuring Iyanya) doing pretty well so far. You add the British accent to her package and you know Lola Rae can conveniently walk into any man’s life without resistance. I mean who can turn that down.

Toke Makinwa
Toke Makinwa is downright beautiful. Dazall!

Ok that’s not all. The radio personality’s style is something serious, and for those that watch her vlog, her sense of humor is ridiculous. You just don’t expect it out of her sometimes and it’s like boom!! She’s making you laugh till you have tears coming from your eyes. You just cant go wrong having someone with her beauty, brains and sense of humor around you. You get the feeling she’ll be great company to have.

Oh and let’s not forget that wardrobe game is killer too.

Eva Alordiah
Until a few weeks ago you would’ve been able to place Eva Alordiah’s kind of beauty is specific category, but then she shared pictures where she was wearing traditional and gele and boys are like “How many kind ‘finess’ can one person have sef?”

It’s sometimes easy to look past her beauty because of everything else she brings to the table (talent on the mic, makeup skills, style, and being down to earth), but make no mistake, when she does decide to go “girly” on us, she can intimidate even the prettiest of beauty queens.

Osas Ighodaro
*Takes a deep breathe* I actually hadn’t heard too much of Osas until she was introduced as the host of Maltina Dance All, and mehn, some men will not sleep well if they attend the taping of that show o. Do the dancer concentrate well?

She was introduced to the cast of Tinsel after making the shift from the US to Nigeria and the former Miss Black USA 2010 has completely dazzled fans anytime she’s seen. She’s gorgeous, very well spoken, and very stylish.

For those that don’t know who she is, now you know.

Notable Mentions: Niyola, Zaina, Damilola Adegbite, Emma Nyra

Well that’s all folks. 15 hottest women in Nigerian Entertainment Industry. Tell us what you think.

List Of The Richest And Most Powerful Babes In Nollywood

In Nigeria, some movie stars have proven again and again that they can guarantee return on investment as long as their faces adorn the poster. They are Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Omoni Oboli, Funke Akindele and Nse Ikpe-Etim.

Four elements contribute to the success of a movie at the box-office. They include good script, experienced director, professional publicist, and most importantly, the big name stars.
Of all the four, there is one a producer should never violate at the market place and that is the ‘star’ aspect of it. There could be a bad script, inexperienced director and not too good publicity for the movie but it is almost impossible to have Return On Investment (ROI) with un-bankable stars.

  • Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde:

On the list is Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde with box-office gross of N60 million. She made N24 million with Last Flight to Abuja, N6 million from Private Storm and her N30 million share in Ije bring her total earning to N60 million.

This year alone, no actress has made as much as N24 million from a single movie; Funke Akindele would have done so with The Return of Jenifa but the movie hit the box office in 2011.

Omotola, who was reported to have been paid N5 million by Tarila Thompson all in the bid to make his movie a blockbuster, has been described as the biggest box office actress of 2012. She recorded successes back to back but it remains to be seen if she can pull off the box office magic again with Amina and other movies coming in 2013.

Omotola has been an A-list actress even before Genevieve got her first big break and so what has been working for her is the wise investment in her brand. Her enduring presence and unceasing contact with her fans via the social media has made her popular even in an environment where a mother of four like her is not fashionable.

  • Genevieve Nnaji:
Next is Genevieve Nnaji. Love or hate her, Genny as she is fondly called, has a way with cinema audiences that make them come back again and again for her movies.

So far, Genevieve’s starring in the movies has grossed over N83 million at the box office. MirrorBoy (described by the actress as her first major film and the first to put her at the box-office) made N18 million, while Ije netted N60 million turning out to be Nigeria’s highest grossing movie ever. But Genevieve had to share the money with Omotola, who also acted alongside her. If the sharingformula is 50-50, then Genevieve gets N30 million of the total gross.

Genevieve’s next movie, Tango with Me went on to make N35 million. So, putting all the figures together, Genny remains at the head of the pack. What seem to be working for Genevieve are her enduring power, popularity and social media connection. The actress has been there for over a decade and is still waxing stronger. Her wine seems to taste better with age.

Another plus for Genny is her popularity. Genevieve is hugely popular across Africa and most especially among the youths. Before now, she has been very active on the social media especially Twitter. She even had to put up a Facebook advert after reports emerged that some acts were ahead of her there.

  • Funke Akindele:
Surprisingly, the third person on the list is Funke Akindele, a young lady who rose to fame in I Need To Know, a TV series, and went on to earn a monstrous fame with Jenifa.

Funke is an unlikely candidate on this list. Now, how can one explain that she is third on a list parading heavy weights like Omoni Oboli, Nse Ikpe-Etim and Stephanie Okereke among others?

So far, Funke has made over N56 million, netting over N20 million in 2012 alone. In The Return of Jenifa, Funke netted N35 million. The movie ran till February 2012. Her movie, Married but Living Single made N9.9 million while Maami made N11 million. The actress is on her way to another cinema glory with a movie, A Wish. Let’s hope she will be able to wave the magical wand again and create a box-office success.

For Funke who recently got married, the plus factor for her is her huge popularity among the masses and elites. Her movie, Jenifa cuts across all social groups with the street parlance in it becoming the mode of communication in social gathering. And as an icing on the cake, Funke has moved upscale, she is now the toast of events organized by the rich and not so rich. Her box office credibility transcends the cinema as all DVDs parading her face turn into gold.

  • Omoni Oboli:
Omoni Oboli, who is still largely unknown to those who don’t patronise the cinema and social media, is fourth on the list. She is a silent achiever. Before the trio of Genevieve, Omotola and Funke even dreamt of hitting the box office, Omoni Oboli already took the lead. Figurine, her first box office appearance made N13 million while her second effort, Anchor Baby made N18 million bringing her total earning to N31million.

Omoni’s strength is her exclusivity and knack for quality. It is a known fact that if the project is not big and ambitious, Omoni might not do it. The disadvantage of that is, despite her box office credibility, Omoni is still unknown in areas where there is no access to cinemas. Perhaps, that is the reason she tries to make up with the red carpet presence.

For now, the exclusivity is working for Omoni; perhaps her new movie, Broken and other works will introduce a new twist. One other thing that should not be forgotten is the unprecedented publicity of Anchor Baby in 2010. The film also had Omoni at the forefront of meeting and greeting of fans at the cinemas.

  • Nse Ikpe-Etim:
The fifth slot belongs to Nse Ikpe-Etim. She seems to be the latest sensation in big budget movies. In Mr and Mrs, Nse was a delight, her performance was a reference point and it was a hook that kept drawing people to the cinema while the movie was there.

Mr and Mrs made N6 million while another of her film, Phone Swap made N20 million, making a total of N26 million.

Too early for Nse to cement her place, as she hasn’t done N15 million back-to-back but one thing the actress has made clear is that she has intention of doing that. The leading four acts should be afraid of Nse because her strength lies in her pure acting talent.

Nse is born to act, deemed to be unnecessarily assertive a times, but you can’t accuse her of not knowing her lines. And she pushes her movies with virgour, moving from one cinema to the other.

However, Nse should watch it as many have accused her of being too ‘self-conscious’, a term casually used for budding stars who have ‘over-hyped’ impression of themselves as this could alienate fans who make the box-office count.

  • Rita Dominic and Stephanie Okereke
Rita Dominic and Stephanie Okereke should readily make the list but they haven’t appeared at the cinemas more than once. Hopefully, Rita will break into the list with The Meeting, Lion of 76 and Street of Calabar while Stephanie already had N10 million under her belt with Through the Glass.

Of course, there are exceptions to the rules. A bankable star makes easier the job of a producer; the absence of one, however, is not a ready-made doom for a movie as Avatar and Slumdog Millionaire (both global box office hits) have shown. But if one would take a risk or err, it’s better to err on the part of caution.

Wikipedia defines a bankable star to be an actor famous or charismatic enough to be “capable of guaranteeing box-office success simply by showing up in a movie”. It is common knowledge that a Will Smith will sell any movie no matter how bad as long as he has his face on the jacket.
