While most men would insist their wives change their last names immediately, Mr Jacobs, in this new interview withTheNetng explained why he let his wife maintain her maiden name.

• Since you got married, your wife has maintained her maiden name. Why has she not adopted your own name?

She is her own individual. When I met her, she was an actress known as Joke Silva so why should marrying me now deny her and her audience her name. She is Miss Joke Silva who is Mrs. Joke Jacobs. It is as simple as that. People now begin to say what they like. They have even written that we are separated and all sort of stuffs. When she is working, she is Joke Silva but she is Mrs. Joke Jacobs at home.

Dayo Amusa & Mike Ezuruonye won the 'Best Kiss in a movie' award in 'Unforgivable' movie, while Mike Ezuruonye also won Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in the same movie 'Unforgivable'. And the Best actress went to Omoni Oboli for her performance in 'Brother's Keeper'.

Saheed Balogun Drags Estranged Wife, Fathia Balogun To Court Over Name

Saheed and Fathia Balogun have called it quit long before now. But Saheed isn’t finding it funny that Fathia still bears his name-Balogun. Saheed last year threatened that Fathia should stop using his name, but that fell on the actress’ deaf ears. In an interview shortly after Saheed asked her to stop using his name, Fathia said, “I laugh, my name is Fathia Balogun and it’s going to remain Balogun; nobody can ever change that and nobody can stop me from answering that name.” 

The case is now in court.

PHOTO: How Nollywood Actress Sent To Prison For Stealing Was Betrayed By Her Friends

Nolllywood actress, Yetunde Akilapa who was sent to Kirikiri Prison, Apapa, Lagos around February 2013, for allegedly being in possession of 100 master key has been discharged and acquitted of the theft charges brought against her.

Yetunde Akilapa was arrested around February and detained at Alade Police station in Somolu after she was accused of stealing a bunch of keys.

In a statement by her lawyer, Yetunde Akilapa said the keys she was caught with were used in her new movie, Bunmi Akata and that she was arrested after being framed by people she regarded as friends.

The case filed under Charge no F/10/13 COP v Yetunde Akilapa was dismissed for want of diligent prosecution.
