Fathia Balogun Confirms Saheed Balogun Dragged Her To Court Over Change Of Name

Fathi Balogun has finally reacted to news that her Ex-hubby, Saheed Balogun dragged her to court over refusal to drop his name his name. The funny part is that Saheed denied dragging his ex-wife to court.
Here's a statement from the actress through her publicist, Seun Oloketuiyi:

“Our attention has been drawn to media reports where Saheed Balogun claims that he knows nothing about the media reports that he is in court with our client Fathia Balogun over his decision to ask his former wife to stop using his name.

“We will like to put the records straight. The case is in court and our lawyers are on it to ensure that our client retains the name. We won’t be saying much at this time but we believe that adults should be bold and mature enough to take responsibility for their actions and not do something and say something else.

“We won’t say anything further on this matter until judgement is given as this case resumes hearing.”

Check out Dayo Amusa, Fathia Balogun, Ayo Adesanya and Oboli Omoni at the 2013 edition of the prestigious Best of Nollywood Awards (BON), took place on December 5, 2013 at The Dome, Asaba, Delta State. Dayo Amusa & Mike Ezuruonye won the 'Best Kiss in a movie' award in 'Unforgivable' movie, while Mike Ezuruonye also won Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in the same movie 'Unforgivable'. And the Best actress went to Omoni Oboli for her performance in 'Brother's Keeper'.

Saheed Balogun Drags Estranged Wife, Fathia Balogun To Court Over Name

Saheed and Fathia Balogun have called it quit long before now. But Saheed isn’t finding it funny that Fathia still bears his name-Balogun. Saheed last year threatened that Fathia should stop using his name, but that fell on the actress’ deaf ears. In an interview shortly after Saheed asked her to stop using his name, Fathia said, “I laugh, my name is Fathia Balogun and it’s going to remain Balogun; nobody can ever change that and nobody can stop me from answering that name.” 

The case is now in court.
