SHOCKING! Nelson Mandela Leaves Half Of His $4.1m Estate To 3rd Wife & Nothing To Winnie Mandela

Nelson Mandela's ex-wife Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has been left out of his will, it has been revealed.

The former South African president has divided up his £2.5million estate between family members, staff and the ruling African National Congress.

However, he has chosen to give nothing to Ms Madikizela-Mandela - his second wife, with whom he had two daughters, Zenani and Zindziswa. 

Meanwhile, his third wife, Graca Machel, has been named as the main beneficiary of the will because their marriage was 'in community of property', according to executor, Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke.

She is therefore entitled to 50 per cent of his estate, which has been provisionally valued at 46 million rand (£2.5million), excluding royalties.But it is believed to have been accepted by his family with no contest so far.

As the main beneficiary, Ms Machel must claim her half of the estate within 90 days, said Moseneke, who was joined by executors George Bizos, ahuman rights lawyer who was a longtime friend of Mandela, and Themba Sangoni, a chief judge from the Eastern Cape province.

He added that although Madikizela-Mandela was not mentioned in the will, her grandchildren will each receive $9,000 (£5,500).

Full details of the will

-Wife Graca Machel, who is entitled to 50 percent of his estate, worth at least $4.1 million. She is likely to waive that right in favour of receiving four properties in Mozambique, cars, art work, jewellery and other assets.

-Mandela's children each get around $300,000, or if they borrowed that amount from him during his lifetime, have their debts annulled.

-Ms Machel's children, Josina Machel and Malengane Machel, each get around $270,000.

-Mandela's four grandchildren via late son Makgatho will each receive $300,000 and will have the use of his home in Houghton, Johannesburg.

-The African National Congress (ANC), gets between 10 to 30 percent of royalties from his various projects.

-Mandela's home in his boyhood village of Qunu will be made available to the Mandela family, as well as widow Ms Machel and her two children.=Grandchildren from his first marriage to Evelyn Mase and second marriage to Winnie Madikizela-Mandela each get $9,000. It was not immediately clear if anything had been bequeathed to Winnie.

-Staff members, including long time personal assistance Zelda la Grange, get $4,500 each.

-Schools and universities he attended and shaped his political life were each granted $9,000.

MEET Nelson Mandela's Lookalike (PHOTO)

Cross paths with Ayanda Mbatyothi and you could be forgiven for thinking you have seen a ghost.

The 37-year-old has minor celebrity status in South Africa as a Nelson Mandela lookalike. He performs his famous speeches, earns cheers at political rallies and, in a reference to the struggle hero's clan name, was once told by an aghast Mandela: "You are young Madiba."

Now he is coming to terms with the death of the man he imitates and admires. "I couldn't believe it," he said last week in a voice spookily reminiscent of the late president's own. "Mandela is a true hero of the people. He fought black domination and white domination. He's like Jesus Christ. Maybe after three days God can bring back Mandela."

Should that not transpire, Mbatyothi will have to do. "I'm going to be a reminder. People show their children: 'That's Mandela.'"

He has no known blood ties to Mandela but like him is from the Xhosa people in Eastern Cape province. He recalls that 20 years ago he was campaigning for the African National Congress (ANC) and carrying a picture of Mandela when the resemblance became obvious. "People stopped me and said why do you look like that man?"

In 1996 Mbatyothi, from a township in East London, came face to face with the then president Mandela himself. "They came to me and I shook the mighty hand. I mimicked him. He said: 'He looks like me. You are young Madiba.'"

It has become Mbatyothi's trademark ever since. He set up a company called Young Madiba Productions which he says is involved in advertising and supplying stationery to the government. He has appeared in roadshows, a live performance in Europe and a South African comedy film. When he attends an ANC rally and his picture is projected on a big screen, the crowd erupts.

In 2001, he says, he read Mandela's celebrated 1964 speech from the dock at an audition for the film adaptation of his autobiography Long Walk to Freedom. Mbatyothi claims he won the audition and remains upset that, when the film was finally made a decade later, the lead role went to Britain's Idris Elba instead.

"When you watch the Long Walk to Freedom movie, anyone can see they need an African person. Somebody who gets the poverty. You can't go to America and play Obama."

Mbatyothi also does charity work, citing Mandela as his inspiration. "I became 'Ayanda and young Madiba'. People respect me because of him. I'll continue to follow in his footsteps. Every year I do a Christmas party for the community. They come and collect a food parcel and say: 'This is what young Madiba is doing for us.'"

Over the years Mbatyothi has met Mandela's ex-wife Winnie and their daughter Zindzi as well as the South African president, Jacob Zuma. He says he will be at the funeral in Qunu on Sunday. "It's difficult to go and bury your twin. I've got all the pictures of Mandela because I miss him."

Among the Mandela doppelganger's biggest fans is his manager, Xhobani Thole, who said: "He is a replica of the man during the treason trial. He can mimic him, he can smile like him. Not only does he look just like Madiba, but his passion for the old man you can't believe. He'll kill for the old man.

"At the beginning of Long Walk to Freedom, he could have played the part in a more genuine way. I've said to him that now Mandela has died, there may be more opportunities coming up. Madiba's legacy will live forever."

The statue was unveiled today by the South African Government to mark the end of the burial rites for the late African and world icon who passed away at 95 on December 5th.

TOUCHING VIDEO: The Best Mandela Tribute Ever? (WATCH)

Many tributes have flowed in since Madiba's death last week but this certainly one of the best if not the best. 

Shoppers purchasing their groceries were left astounded after the Soweto Gospel Choir – many of whom posed as workers – emerged from the aisles at the Woolworths store in Johannesburg.

They performed Asimbonanga (We have not seen him), a call for freedom written during Mandela’s incarceration in prison, with many onlookers moved to tears.

Sign Interpreter At Mandela's Memorial Is A Fake (READ)

A man who provided sign language interpretation on stage for Nelson Mandela's memorial service, attended by scores of heads of state, was a "fake," the national director of the Deaf Federation of South Africa said on Tuesday.

Asked about the claim by The Associated Press, South Africa's government said it was preparing a statement.

Three sign language experts said the man was not signing in South African or American sign languages. South African sign language covers all of the country's 11 official languages, according to the federation. It wasn't immediately clear if the unidentified man was using a different method to communicate.

The unidentified man seen around the world on television next to leaders like U.S. President Barack Obama "was moving his hands around but there was no meaning in what he used his hands for," said Bruno Druchen, the federation's national director.

Nicole Du Toit, an official sign language interpreter who also watched the broadcast, said in a telephone interview that the man on stage purporting to sign was an embarrassment.

"It was horrible, an absolute circus, really really bad," she said. "Only he can understand those gestures."

South African parliament member Wilma Newhoudt, a member of the ruling party who is deaf, also said the man communicated nothing with his hand and arm movements. AP interviewed both Druchen, who also is deaf, and Newhoudt by telephone using an interpreter.

Jonathan, 59 World Leaders Set For Mandela’s Funeral

President Goodluck Jonathan; United States President Barrack Obama; and about 58 other foreign heads of state and government are expected to attend either the memorial ceremony or the state funeral of former South African President, Nelson Mandela.

The funeral is expected to hold in South Africa in the coming week, a foreign ministry spokesman said. He said the final number of persons who would attend either Tuesday’s memorial in Johannesburg or the funeral in Qunu next Sunday would be confirmed in due course.

According to online news reports, Jonathan will leave Abuja on Monday (today) evening to join other world leaders in South Africa at events leading up to the burial of Mandela. He is expected to also attend the Memorial Service on Tuesday at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg and will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Viola Onwuliri.

International leaders, global figures and celebrities will join 95,000 ordinary South Africans at the memorial service at the FNB Stadium in Soweto, where Mandela made his final major public appearance during the 2010 football World Cup.

The event is likely to be one of the biggest of such gatherings of international dignitaries in recent years. The South African government said 59 leaders had so far confirmed they would be attending, an indication of the special place Mandela held in people’s hearts across the world, officials say.

Among those on the list are UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon; German President Joachim Gauck, EU Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso; Dutch King Willem-Alexander; and Crown Prince Felipe of Spain.

Three former US presidents, George W Bush, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, will join President Obama and First Lady, Michelle Obama.

Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and India’s Pranab Mukherjee are also expected at the memorial/funeral . Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has not yet confirmed whether he will travel.

A smaller number of international dignitaries, including the Prince of Wales will attend the burial in the Eastern Cape village of Qunu, where the late president grew up.

Leading celebrities in the anti-apartheid movement, Peter Gabriel and Bono, are also expected to attend as are former international leaders such as Marti Ahtisaari who, along with Mandela, were part of a group known as The Elders, promoting peace and human rights.

Meanwhile, three extra stadiums have been made available for those wanting to attend Tuesday’s national memorial service in Johannesburg for Mandela, online news website, News24 reports.

While the main service would be held at the FNB Stadium in Soweto, overflow stadiums had been provided due to the fact that not all mourners could be accommodated there, the city said in a statement on Sunday.

The three extra venues are Ellis Park, and the Orlando and Dobsonville stadiums, where the national memorial service will be broadcast live. The event is set to start on Tuesday at 11:00.

Free public transport has been reportedly arranged by the government and park-and-rides to accommodate mourners, and ensure that they are able to get to the stadiums on time.

The city warned that no cars would be allowed near the FNB Stadium, known to locals as the Calabash, and that roads around the venue would be closed from midnight on Monday, with a “total shutdown” from early on Tuesday morning.

In a statement, it said, “Mourners are urged to choose which stadium they want to attend the national memorial service and take heed of the details… in respect of travelling to the different stadiums, and plan their trips accordingly.

“Entrance to FNB Stadium is on a first come, first serve basis.”

Once it was full mourners would be directed to other stadiums, and should listen to their local radio stations and follow social media.

“Mourners are urged to arrive early at the stadiums. [They] will open at 07:00. Parking venues and bus services will be operating from 06:00.”

It said normal bus services offered by Rea Vaya, Metrobus and Putco in and around Johannesburg could be disrupted.

With hymns and eulogies, South Africans of all colors and creeds remembered Mandela in a day of prayers on Sunday, holding him up as an example of freedom and forgiveness to build a better nation and world.

At churches, mosques, synagogues and community halls from the Limpopo River to the Cape, millions offered praise. They reflected on a man celebrated as “Father of the Nation” and as a global beacon of integrity, rectitude and reconciliation.
